How it all started...
Living Stone Church began with a simple yes to God and a heart for Spokane. After serving under Pastor Bob MacGregor at City Harvest Church in Vancouver, Washington for 10 years, Pastors Van and Lori were sent out in 2010 to plant a church in Spokane. Three couples moved with them from Vancouver, leaving behind what was familiar to build a life and a church in a new community. They found jobs, met people, put down roots, and began what was then known as City Life Church. From those humble beginnings, God has been faithful to grow and establish the church year after year.
In September 2016, another chapter began when Christian Life Church of Spokane joined together with City Life Church. About 50 followers of Jesus became part of the growing congregation, along with Pastors Kay and Barry Hill and their eldership. The two church families became one, and in February 2017, Living Stone Church was born. That spring, the congregation moved to our current home on Little Spokane Drive, the former Christian Life Church campus.
But the vision didn't stop with Spokane. Having grown up on the Colville Indian Reservation, Pastor Van carried a longtime desire to see a thriving church community established there. In 2019, a small group of leaders began gathering with Pastor Van and a team from Living Stone. What started with monthly worship nights grew into a church in Inchelium under the leadership of Pastors Arlen and Abby Bradeen. Today, that church continues its ministry independently as Three Waters Ministries.
In January 2024, Living Stone stepped out again to establish a new work in the Colville-Kettle Falls area. That church has also grown into an independent ministry and now continues its mission as Restoration Fellowship Church.
Through every season, our story has been one of people willing to go, serve, build, and trust God with what comes next. From a handful of people planting roots in Spokane to new churches being established and sent out, we are grateful for the Lord’s faithfulness and expectant for all He still has ahead.

MFI
Living Stone Church is an independent, non-denominational church. We belong to Ministers Fellowship International, an organization that exists to facilitate and nurture meaningful relationships among member ministers, equipping and enabling them to be more effective in their callings, for the purpose of building and multiplying strong local churches around the world.
MFI is not a denomination. It is a fellowship. For this reason, MFI does not credential ministers, hold church properties or maintain a central mission board. All of these are functions of the local church. MFI exists for the support of local church ministers and their churches.
